Cool tutorial! If I ever use GIMP for speech bubbles, I'll probably used Beveled Speech Bubbles. :)

@FieryExplosion: Thank you! :D

That was... surprisingly simple xD
I feel a bit stupid for not finding this out while experimenting in GIMP. *Thwacks head against wall.*
Nice tut! Thanks for showing me! :D

EDIT: For glows, I often do this:
1) Copy the thing I want to glow.
2) Paste it into a new layer
3) Turn the thing I'm glowing white in the new layer
4) Blur it a good bit
5) Set the layer mode to "Hard light."

Knowing you, you probably have a better method than me xD
Can't wait to see your next tutorial! :D

@Cascade: No problem!

That's actually quite similar to what I do. :P

For the next tutorial, could you teach us how to do the "copy essence" effect you did in Re:Booted's "Welcome to the Dark World", O master of Gimp?

Reply Luigi_96, July 28th, 2013, 10:14 pm

@JosephX: Actually, check out "Teleporting Effects 2." Mess around with gradient flare, and you'll get the effect. Howeverrrrr I'll make a tutorial on that specific effect.
